História
Ambisousa was created by public deed on October 14, 2002, and formally began its activity on November 25, 2002.

Its headquarters are in Lousada, and its purpose, as defined in Article 4 of its Statutes, is "the operation of the activity of collection, transfer, treatment and disposal of solid waste, treatment and disposal of effluents, and public cleaning and hygiene, in the geographical area of ​​the Sousa Valley". In practice, Ambisousa's responsibilities have focused on the treatment of urban solid waste produced in the six municipalities that make up the Sousa Valley, and on the management of sorting in the same geographical area.
